I woke up the other day and thought it was a great idea to try and capture a holiday photo session with my fur boys… Of course, nothing really goes as planned with those two love bugs, (well, except maybe our morning runs.)

First of all, do you know how HOTTT its been here in Central Florida!! The cute flannel button down and winter hat was probably the worst idea and where everything went wrong!! I was sweating like a champ trying to keep up with these 2. Do you know how hard challenging it is to chase after 2 large dogs, with so many distractions, all while trying to keep your cool so the sweat doesn’t consume your face like you’ve been a P.E. all star all day?!

***I know, I know before anyone gets angry… I really have nothing on you real (human) mothers out there. The ones who do it habitually with NO questions asked, day in and day out!! I really do admire you and all that you conquer, and I can only hope that one day I can laugh at such an idea of trying to capture a human family moment!!***

But moving forward, I have Matteo on one side of the yard looking for lizards and trying to chasing bees in the sunflowers behind us… Viper running around looking for his damn red ball, and no, it can NOT be the black one, it has to be the RED one!!

I will be the first to tell you, a lot can happen in a 3 second, self timer… neighbors lawn service shows up, the other neighbors were walking their dog, Viper stole my hat, oh, and my cellphone rings.

Matteo and Viper have this obsession with anything I have on… my hats, my topknots/buns my even lipsticks and shoes… its like a whole new world of exploration every time I do something different- and believe me, I like different!!

All in all, at the end of the day, I did’t get that “perfect” shot. But I will have this amazingly perfect set of “not so good ones” that, in my opinion are way better!! I will be trying this again soon, as this turned into a ‘practice’ session. Lets hope that the second time goes a little smother, and be slightly cooler, but who knows, maybe I will just use one of these!! 🙂 Keep an eye out for those oh so “perfect” candid holiday cards in the mail!!
