My Wedding Floral Arrangements!!

In the beginning stages of the wedding planning, I decided that I didn’t want traditional wedding flowers. No big bouquets of blooming roses, heaps of baby’s breath and all that filler… No, no, nope. In fact, at one point, I didn’t even want any floral arrangements.

After some deep thought and convincing from the sister, I decided that I wanted greenery, lots and lots of greenery!! I wanted more of the fresh, ornate, organic look for my wedding, flower crowns and all. So, being that #wedotaketwo was in my mothers backyard in upstate NY, surrounded by her luscious,  colorful gardens, that was more than enough color for me- I wanted greenery!

Knowing the special talent that my family has (especially George), I wanted to make my own floral arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres and flower crowns. Hand made with sweat, laughter and love (and hilarious memories I must add) was all I wanted while making them and that is exactly what I got!!

I decided to go with eucalyptus, all of the eucalyptus; baby, silver dollar, and seeded! They offered me the organic, greenery look that I was going for. The different hues of green, blue, and creams infused all of the different colors, patterns and textures together in the most perfectly imperfect way!

Yes, and as much as I didn’t want roses, the sister, (yet again) convinced me other wise. After an hour or so searching the nets of webs, I finally came across these beauties!! The shade of ivory on these White Cloud Spray Garden Roses complimented the eucalyptus perfectly. They were an absolute staple to go with my “not so traditional” floral ideas.

Finally, I picked out these little berries for a little pop of color for the boutonnieres and centerpieces. These Coral Kissed Hypericum Berries were the perfect accent of color to bring the blue from bow ties and the khaki from the suspenders all together!!

These floral arrangements were perfection and was everything I had dreamt of when it came to my wedding flowers. I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome of how everything turned out. I am one lucky gal to have to have such wonderful family and friends to help make my #wedotaketwo dream come true!

I ordered all of my greenery from FiftyFlowers.com, and I couldn’t have been happier with my decision to do so!! Again, thank you to the real MVP George for doing such an amazing job on making my bouquets, boutonnieres, flower crowns and centerpieces they were PERFECT!!
